Point
A. This Code of Conduct (CoC) describes the values, mission, and purpose for the Big Red Ones (BROs) team.
B. This CoC and the use of mandatory language does not necessarily confer due process rights on the team's members, nonmembers, potential recruits, or interested others.
C. This CoC is a set of guidelines and does not limit the leadership's management flexibility as it is recognized that every situation is different and may require actions or solutions not listed within the CoC.
D. This CoC may be updated and changed as required, and without prior notice.
A. A well defined and standardized CoC will allow for maximum teamwork, cohesion, and spirit.
B. By establishing our values, mission, and purpose it allows for uniformity of action and sets achievable guidelines for the team to follow.
C. A CoC lets members, non-members, and potential recruits know what the team represents and expects from its own.
D. Sets standards by which team discipline can be established in a fair and unbiased manner.
E. Allows for complete transparency of team management to build an atmosphere of trust and support among BROs members.
BROs Big Red Ones
clans A term denoting a team concept. This concept has some negative connotations associated with it due to the poor gamesmanship of some clans. For this reason BROs chooses to use the word team or sept to describe ourselves.
Clan Hop Leaving a team and joining another team for any reason and then wanting to rejoin the team you left.
CoC Code of Conduct
sept An old Irish word referring to a close family.
thugs A person who conducts themselves without gamesmanship or honor. Usually represented by foul and derogatory language, racism, cheating, and a go it alone and immature attitude.
02.00 VALUES, MISSION, AND PURPOSE
A. A BROs team member shall always conduct themselves with honor. They will work together to achieve the team's goals. A team member who deliberately team kills, sabotages, cheats, or hinders their teammate's efforts is no better than our competition.
B. A BROs team member should never lose their professional bearing and openly use profanity or derogatory language directed at our competition or another team member. This is beneath honor and demonstrates a rude and immature attitude. We honor our competitors as we do ourselves. BRO are polite, courteous, and dignified. That which does not kill us, makes us stronger. Since a respawn is inevitable, BROs do not openly brag about their skill or berate others for their lack of it.
C. BROs team members shall not challenge another team without the consent of a team leader.
D. While playing under a gamer tag affiliated with BROs, a team member shall follow the BROs CoC.
E. BROs team members are in the business of excellence. This means each BROs must make their best effort to train less skilled members to reach higher skill levels. BROs mentor other BROs. We do not keep game secrets from each other that would benefit the success of the team.
F. BROs team members do not "Clan Hop" from team to team for any reason. This shows a lack of respect and loyalty to our fellow teammates.
G. A member may only have one gamertag in BROs.
A. No team member shall purposely team kill another teammate. If a team member witnesses this behavior from a BROs they shall report it to team leadership for review and potential disciplinary action to include verbal sanction, demotion, or membership revocation.
B. BROs do not play with verified team killers. Team killers can ruin others enjoyment of the game.
C. This does not include accidental or negligent team kills which are bound to happen in shooter style games. A true team killer can generally be recognized by:
1. Having a careless attitude that results in more team kills than enemy kills.
2. They are unapologetic.
3. They rejoice in team killing.
4. They brag about the team kill or make other in-game comments or behaviors that demonstrate the kill was done intentionally.
D. The key word here is "team" kills. If two BROs are playing in non-team related games they may kill each other to their hearts content so long as it is good natured and a part of the game.
A. Your personal life is your own to lead, however, if at anytime you identify yourself as a BROs member you shall conduct yourself in accordance with our CoC so as not to bring shame or discredit on your teammates.
B. Please show your team pride. Find creative ways to advertise our team. Work to recruit new and honorable members. Remember, we are not just a team, we are all friends. So do not bring an individual into the sept that will not uphold our ideals of honor and gamesmanship.
C. All team referrals should come through the BROs leadership.
D. BROs accepts anyone of good character and morale standing regardless of age, sex, or any other man made categorization. BROs does not enlist thugs and will expel them from our ranks as they are discovered.
A. The mission of BROs is to provide a safe and fun gaming experience for its members, non-members, potential recruits, and the gaming community in general.
B. The purpose of BROs is to make and establish life long friends. BROs is a concept that was born in an attempt to reunite friends on XBox Live who had drifted apart into new games and many fractured clans.
1. All original friends of the founder, from the launch of XBox Live and the original Mech Assault game, are invited to join our ranks and relive the good old days.
2. New friends of our members are welcome and always invited to make new memories and have a good time.
A. BROs is exclusively an internet community team.
B. BROs is predominantly an Xbox Live team and utilizes the Xbox Live interface to conduct team business but we do expand into other gaming areas.
C. BROs members are not in the business of asking for personal information from its team members. Everything BROs needs to contact its members and conduct team business is built into the XBox Live interface. Be cautious and report any BROs member who attempts to get additional personal information from you.
D. At the current time XBox Live games limit the number of team members allowed. So our default total group membership will be determined by each game. Once this total is reached vacancies shall only be filled if a membership is resigned in that game title or is revoked from another member.
1. With this in mind, a team member's membership shall not be revoked simply to add a new "closer" friend to the team. Any Staff caught doing this shall face disciplinary action.
2. When the team is at maximum membership, and a vacancy occurs due to resignation or revocation, the new member shall be decided upon by a majority vote of all BROs leadership within a designated time period announced by the Founder or his designee. If a member of the leadership has failed to cast a vote during this time than by their silence they abstain from the vote. The vote shall be called and counted by the team Founder or his designee.
03.02 Team Structure and Responsibilities:
A. Team leadership and their responsibilities shall consist of:
1. Founder = The team's founder. The Founder's responsibilities include:
a. Play in team matches.
b. Recruit new members.

e. Change Recruit & Member roles.

g. Announce and coordinate team games.

j. Has the deciding vote in any vote where a tie is achieved.

m. Any other responsibility consistent with the office and not given directly to another member.
n. Can handle team disciplinary decisions "on-the-spot" to include verbal sanctions, reduction in rank, or membership revocation.
2. Staff = The maximum number of Staff shall be determined by a majority consensus of existing Staff and the Founder. Upon the team's founding a few original friends were hand selected for this role, by the Founder, to ensure the viability of the team. Future Staff shall be promoted based upon the recommendations of existing Staff and Members in accordance with 03.04 Staff Promotions. This ensures a viable pool of leaders are available to call team games, at their choosing, and at all times of the day. Staff responsibilities include:
a. Play in team matches.
b. Recruit new members.
c. Broadcast team messages.
d. Remove team members.
e. Change Recruit & Member roles.

h. Assists the Founder as required.
i. Can handle team disciplinary decisions "on-the-spot" to include verbal sanctions, reduction in rank, or membership revocation.
j. Due to the responsibility and maturity entrusted in Staff they should be a minimum of 18 years old to hold this position. On very rare occasions a person younger than 18 years old may be promoted to Staff member when:
I. They show great leadership ability.
II. They excel as a mentor.
III. They demonstrate maturity beyond their years.
IV. They have earned the respect and admiration of their teammates.
B. Team members and their responsibilities shall consist of:
1. Member = A member in good standing with BROs. All members begin at this rank. Member responsibilities include:
a. Play in team matches.
b. Recruit new members.
c. Broadcast team messages.
d. Uphold the BROs values.
e. Report BROs misconduct to leadership.
2. Recruit = A member in questionable standing with BROs. This rank is only given to members due to a demotion that was the result of disciplinary action. A member will remain at this rank until they have proven they truly uphold the BROs values and will not dishonor our sept. A Recruit's advancement back to full Member will be at the discretion of the leader that demoted them or by majority vote of BROs leadership. Recruit responsibilities include:
a. Play in team matches.
b. Learn to uphold the team's values.
c. Stop bringing discredit and shame to fellow BROs members through the actions that earned them the rank of Recruit.
A. This CoC is set down as a guideline to BROs leadership for imposing disciplinary sanctions.
B. Although each case is different the following steps should generally be applied in the disciplinary process. Of course, behavior that shocks the conscious of other team members and brings discredit and shame to our sept may be dealt with immediately by using each leader's common sense and good judgment.
1. The first offense = Verbal sanction from a leader.
2. The second offense = Demotion by a leader.
3. The third offense = Revocation of BROs membership.
A. As the team grows Staff shall be promoted in an attempt to maintain a healthy ratio of Staff to team Members.
B. When a Staff position is made available the Founder or his designee will call for nominations, and set a nomination time limit, for new Staff from all BROs members in good standing.
1. At least four nominations must be received from fellow BROs members for a nominee to be considered for a Staff position.
2. One of those nominations may be a member self nomination.
3. Recruits may not make Staff nominations or be nominated for a Staff position.
C. All members in good standing who receive four nominations shall be considered for the Staff position.
1. The Founder or his designee will call for a vote/confirmation from existing Staff for all qualified nominees.
2. A Staff only vote shall be called when there are more qualified nominees than new Staff positions available. The Founder or his designee will set the time limit for the vote and the new Staff position/s shall go to the qualified nominee/s who receive a majority of the existing Staff vote.
3. A Staff only confirmation shall be called when the number of qualified nominees is the same as the number of new Staff positions available. The Founder or his designee will set the time limit for the confirmation and the new Staff position/s shall go to the nominee/s that receive a majority of yeas to nays.
04.00 GAMES, IDENTIFICATION, AND NUANCES

D. All BROs team RSV members are expected to follow the official code of conduct set forth on arpeegy.com at all times. BROs team RSV discipline will be handled solely by the team leader identified on gamebattles.com. Any and all problems regarding team behavior, boosting, or any other questions or concerns should be directed to your leadership identified on gamebattles.com.
E. "Boosting" is a bootable offense. "Boosting" is RSV is defined below:
1. Entering matches with no intention of playing, only to receive points.
2. Hosting a "points glitch" match (1st time will be a warning).
3. Participating is a "points glitch" match wherein the participants take turns committing suicides in order to receive points without playing the game.
F. Non-bootable practices include:
1. Being matched into a "points glitch" room as long as the team member plays the game (i.e. no suicides).
2. Accidental team kills/suicides.
3. "Spawn camping" is not only not an offense, it is encouraged as it is an integral part of this game.
A. Every BROs team member should take the time to:
1. Learn,
2. Train Other BROs,
3. Practice,
4. Refine these tactics.
B. This will help to assure our victory during team matches.
Close Combat Also known as CC, this is a forward position in the team. The member assigned to this position will be an expert at close quarters fighting.
Element A group of team members working towards a goal or objective. An element generally consists of three to six members.
Element Leader Also known as EL, this is the leader of an element. This position may also fill another role within the element in addition to giving entry and movement commands.
Mid-range Combat Also known as MC, this is a middle position in the team. The member assigned to this position will be an expert at mid-range fighting.
Objective Carrier Also known as OC, this position may be filled by/assigned to any team member. Their role is to bring to, or take from, an area an objective such as a bomb or flag.
Sniper Combat Also known as SC, this is a long range position in the team. The member assigned to this position will be an expert at long range fighting.
Stack Up Forming up outside the objective prior to entry. The formation generally consists of a line with the CC up front, followed by the MC, and lastly by the SC or objective carrier.
A. Each team member will be assigned a position within the element and must know their duties in this position.
B. Members will be assigned roles consistent with their skills and comfort zone.
C. Element positions:
1. Element Leader
a. Gives all orders to the element.
b. No one moves, or does anything else, unless ordered to do so by the EL.
c. The only deviance from the above is if the element is being directly fired upon. Then the element may take immediate action to eliminate the threat.
2. Close Combat
a. Takes a point position at all times unless otherwise instructed by the EL. Other element members following the point will mimic their movement (e.g. if the point crouch walks then all element members begin to crouch walk).
b. There may be one or more CCs in a team at a time. The person on point will be CC1. The next CC will be the person directly behind the point and will be CC2, etc.
c. CC1, upon stack up, will take cover (generally next to a wall or other object and crouch) and await orders from the EL. When ordered to enter, CC1 will clear the room/corridor using grenades at his discretion, then enter the room first to neutralize enemy combatants. Upon entry CC1 should begin to strafe right or left, depending on the situation, to allow the incoming team members a clear shot at the enemy combatants.
d. CC2, upon stack up, takes a position directly behind CC1 to cover them.
e. When CC1 enters the room, CC2 follows and assists CC1 in terminating enemy combatants.
3. Mid-range Combat
a. MCs job, unless otherwise ordered by the EL, is to provide cover for the CCs.
b. There may be one or more MCs in a team at a time. The closest MC to the point will be MC1. The next MC in formation will be MC2, etc.
c. MC1, upon stack up, covers any unclear openings to the CCs front and will enter after the CCs to assist them in terminating enemy combatants.
d. MC2, upon stack up, covers any unclear openings to the elements rear, unless otherwise ordered by the EL. They will generally enter last to assist in mopping up any remaining enemy combatants.
4. Sniper Combat
a. SCs job, unless otherwise ordered by the EL, is to provide cover, spot, and tactical intelligence for the element as it approaches its objective.
b. There may be one or more SCs in a team at a time.
c. SCs may take the rear element position in a stack up or fill an MC position as needed. They should generally be placed where they may provide precise cover fire to quickly eliminate enemy combatants at the objective area.
5. Objective Carrier
a. OCs, unless otherwise ordered by the EL, are to carry in or take out an objective such as a bomb or flag.
b. The OC position may be filled by any team member but should generally only enter after the area is clear and secure.
A. The tactical entry is a method of entry that is effective at clearing a room.
B. In order to use this method the EL must have at least four element members.
C. On stack up, all element members stack at the entry point. No one moves until the EL gives the order. Once the order is given the below steps should be taken.
1. CC1 and CC2 will prepare to deploy grenades prior to the entry order. Once the order is given to enter they will strategically deploy their grenades into the room and then retrieve dual wielded weapons.
2. After the grenades detonate the entire team will immediately follow CC1 into the room and assist in terminating enemy combatants.
A. This maneuver is effective at covering the element's front in hallways, corridors, or other areas with many openings to the sides.
B. The formation should set up as described below.
1. MC1 takes point and leads the element down the hallway, calling out openings to the team. When an opening is reached, MC1 will fall behind CC1 and CC2 and proceed to complete a standard entry.
2. MC2 (or the rear element such as a SC) will cover the team's rear at all times, unless directed by the EL.
3. Once the opening is clear the EL will assemble the team and it will proceed down the hallway at the EL's discretion.
